In with the living, being counted as one in a Jewish worship minyan, having a place, having a chair that is yours, sitting in the sunlight and being thankful to be alive. Chanting the Shehekeyanu and giving G-d praise for His wonderful miracles to keep you healthy.
Going into rehab if you are diagnosed with cancer, choosing treatment to try to stay alive over being dead. Beating cancer with chemo, living in a place that will make the treatments go easier, less stress on the body, getting care and concern from nurses.
Choosing life over death, choosing chemo over not, choosing a life and in choosing your life, choosing happiness over distress. Not in a life where you are blaming others, instead in a life that satisfies you and brings you peace.
Always choosing life over death, letting G-d breathe the spark of the Divine into your mouth as it saturates your lungs with oxygen, as you breathe in and breathe out, and stay alive, living and being counted in with the living, being counted as one of the ten, the mighty ten of a Jewish worship minyan, a reason to live, a reason to get up each morning.
Getting up each morning, with a "Modah Ani" a thank you to the One Almighty G-d of Abraham and Sarah, Who is everyone's G-d, and thanking Him for continuing your life, and for giving you friends and family in the lives of others.
