As a Nazirite, a Hebrew Priest who abstains from alcohol, not imbibing, not drowning your sorrows, keeping away from a social drink, not relying on the bottle, not nibbling grape seeds, not peeling a grape, not eating raisins, not drinking grape juice.
Thinking of a way to get drunk without the drink, pouring out yourself in prayer to feel righteousness, looking to G-d for meditation and a good feeling, not drunkenness, increasing spirituality, no liver problems, clean breathing, clean thoughts, not under the influence.
Able to walk a straight line, able to bow to the east towards Jerusalem without falling over, able to walk balanced, keeping one foot in front of the other.
Children both male and female chosen by their father to keep the Nazirite Priesthood, sober for 60 years, not to have a craving, not addicted. Instead addictions to the open books, Psalms guiding your actions, Torah commandments easier to keep because of full control of emotions and intellect.
As a Nazirite, not to be near a corpse, not even your mother's or father's. Not to visit cemeteries, not to walk on graves, complete purity of body, mind, heart, and soul.
A Nazirite as an example to others, to use G-d as your source of happiness, to sing and be sung to, to feel the ground under your feet, not drinking a drug, not slobbering. Keeping your balance.
Praying The Shema and putting your three fingers upon your forehead to indicate the love of the Hebrew alphabet letter shin, the Shekinah, to always be able to stand up straight, not to trip, not to wobble, not to fall.
Leaning on one leg while davening The Amidah, and having the body control to shift from leg to leg.
No headaches or tremors, not hung over the morning after.
Not needing to apologize for something you said that you did not mean, not having caused a transgression, no guilt, no mistakes.
The Nazirite as the highest of all the Hebrew Priests, the Priest you can always count on to be there for you with full wits, a Priest who is predictable and will never let you down.
