MOURNING LOSSES ON TISHA BA'AV

The incurable sadness of this Three Week Period when we as Jews mourn losses just before Tisha Ba'av. What to be sad about? What are these losses that plague us and cause us tears. What are we mourning?

We are mourning the losses of lives in the wars fought against Jews, the murders and pogroms, the Holocaust, the Destruction of the Holy Temples of worship. Even though our Temples were destroyed, we do not destroy the mosque that now sits there in place of our Temples, our beliefs in upholding the religious rights of others and not to attack their places of worship is because we are good people, we are righteous and Chosen, we have the good ethics that other religions do not have. We shine in the darkness where others who destroy and hate other religions stay in the dark and never see the light.

We mourn the lives of our Jewish brethren who were forced into believing in Catholicism, told to convert or they would lose their lives. We mourn those who converted and their children generations down the line who are now a part of this Catholic religion who were forced to convert or to instead to die.

We mourn those today who still have this war with Christians who everyday feel the hatred from them against us, to be in their warpath as they cannot have peace and cannot allow others to have peace. Their hatred is so strong that they try to ruin the lives of others. We mourn the lost souls of these people, these people who once had Jewish ancestors in their lineage but now do not have the choice to have peace instead what they do is war everyday.

We mourn the loss of our places of worship, our buildings of Temples, our places of sanctuary, not to have a place to worship because the buildings were destroyed by hateful warring people who were in darkness, who did not have peace and did not want others to have peace because they did not have it.

We mourn the members of our family who are not Jewish and are in this darkness, and we cry for them, they will not be in The-World-To-Come with us because they deny the existence of G-d. So what we must do is get closer to these lost souls on Earth, because they will not be in Heaven with us.
