WAITING FOR A TRUE MESSIAH

Parties to commemorate false messiahs, contrived, misappropriated, forced, untrue, delusional, temptations catching like a disease, lepers needing to be healed, simple solutions like walking on water, gorging, eating like gluttons, celebrating something that is nothing, still everyone waits, and continues waiting, if they eat enough and dance enough, a falsehood could come true. Naught.

Skies warmer, wanting snow on a holiday, will it snow? If it snowed it would be a miracle, and then we would have our miracle to convince us of the truth of a lie.

A savior that supposedly saved a world of suffering, but now the suffering is worse than it ever was before. Still licking chocolate off our lips and calling him a sovereign, a king of kings, just another false god like so many before him.

Can we convince ourselves to believe he changed the world? Eat some more, drink some more, and dream, dream, dream.

But we all wake up from our sleep sometime and the world tomorrow will have the hungry, the poor, the fatherless, the motherless, the strangers, the widows, and the orphans, and we will know that no one of any supernatural nature changed anything, that we are still waiting.

Waiting for a true Messiah.
