ANCESTRAL MEMORIES

Call upon your ancestors, wish upon them, ask them to help to deliver you through any pain you are going through, ask your deceased father to come to your aid, call upon Abraham and Sarah, set aside a seat at your dining room table for Elijah, keep the candles burning on yahrzeits, beckon to your deceased mother to comfort you again, to stroke your hair and scare away all your difficulties, to lighten the darkness of all your pains, give them all life again in your memory and wishes for them to be in peace, but tending to your comfort as they always did.

Do not be involved in their ghosts, do not worship spirits, but instead stand up and say Kaddish, repeat Kaddish over and over in your whisperings, in a minyan, as a nighttime prayer, with 10 or without, ask your friends to come to you, to ease your pains as they have pains no more, silently resting in their graves, they are there for you to ease you, to love you again, to help you.
