PEACEFULNESS AND SERENITY AND HOLINESS

"G‑d has many delights:
The delight that comes from a pure and simple act of love.
Greater than that, the delight that comes from an act of beauty sparkling in the darkness.
Greater than that, the delight when a child who has run away from Him returns with all her heart.
All the world was formed from G‑d’s delight. There is nothing else."
[Chabad.org]

G-d's delights, to close one's eyes and to feel the peace of nothingness, to shut out darkness and light, to delight in the internal, to feel one's soul being caressed by G-d Himself, to be with yourself entirely and to only allow G-d to join you, to feel inner peace, to shut out all external stimuli, as we do when we light the Shabbat candles, to be with yourself and G-d.

To be in a place where you can close your eyes at anytime, to not be in a car, to not be working machinery, to be seated and comfortable and always to be in the peace of G-d's love, to feel Him at anytime no matter where you are or what you are doing.

To close your eyes and to invite Him in, to be alone but with G-d, to fear nothing, to be in complete peace.

The Psalms tell us: "G-d visits His beloved in their sleep." My Great... Grandfather King David knew what he was talking about when he wrote this.

To then open your eyes and to focus on beauty, the lighted Shabbat candles, or at a tree in the distance that is blossoming with purple flowers. To join in with your community and to be in the company of friends who celebrate life with you, to delight in their friendship, their closeness and companionship. To share with them your feelings of peacefulness, serenity, and holiness. To share your food with another, to bring happiness to others in a single act of love, to know the source of this goodness that you are able to share comes from the love G-d has for you.
