Why Today is Like Black Friday

Silly celebrations, perpetual partying, shaky shouting, manic musical accompaniments, internal wars, external wars, hysterical hype, buying more and more gifts, gauche gossiping and sad slandering, slurred drunken words becoming ugly lies, jeering jealousies and coveting, "Your gift is better than mine." They call it Christ[mas]. Today, the day after Xmas, like on Black Friday: all goes on sale, more buying more hype, more spending, more people owning unnecessary material objects that rob one of the spiritual.

Tefillin is tight today and tallit is warm and the silk feels great on my skin. Looking up at a still blue sky, yesterday did not change today's blueness in the skies, but today the sun came out. HASHEM is this blue sky, and He was not defeated by the Xmas craziness. Like the sun is shining my Israeli flag is still flying, and is the same colors as this sunny blue sky. HASHEM survived the Xmas warpath here in my home and He is stronger and more beautiful than ever!

Woodwinds playing sweet melodies, flutes singing in soprano, violins calling out to the blueness of the skies: To HASHEM. Chanting Shema!
